Hydraulic Pumps for Excavators, Loaders and Dozers

Hydraulic Pumps.jpg

A machine rarely stops because of the pump. It slows down first, and by the time the operator mentions that the boom feels lazy the pump has usually been failing for weeks. Hydraulic pumps turn engine power into the flow that runs the boom, stick, bucket, tracks and swing, so when one goes everything the machine does takes longer.

What we supply

Main pumps are the large piston units feeding both sides of the hydraulic circuit. Pilot pumps are the smaller gear pumps mounted behind them, supplying the control pressure the joysticks work off. Gear pumps handle steering, fan drive and auxiliary circuits on loaders and graders.

Brands, Machines and Pump Series

Caterpillar — 320, 325, 330, 336, 349 and 374 excavators; 950 to 988 loaders; D6 to D8 dozers; 140H to 140M graders

Komatsu — PC200 to PC600 excavators; WA320 to WA500 loaders; D65, D85 and D155 dozers

Volvo — EC210 to EC480 excavators; L90 to L180 loaders; A25 to A40 ADTs

Hitachi, Doosan, Hyundai, JCB and other makes also covered

The pump itself is usually a Kawasaki K3V or K5V, a Komatsu HPV unit, or a Rexroth A8VO or A11VO. Uchida, Linde units come up regularly too.

Signs Your Hydraulic Pumps Are on the Way Out

Boom and bucket slower under load,

A whine that rises with engine revs,

Hydraulic oil running hotter than usual,

Metal particles in the filter,

Machine works cold, weakens as the oil warms.

That last one matters. Internal leakage past worn components only goes one way. Caught early this is a pump. Left running, the debris travels through the system and takes the valve bank and motors with it.

Choosing and Identifying the Right Pump

New units carry full warranty and suit production machines where downtime is expensive. Reconditioned pumps are rebuilt to specification and typically land at 40 to 60 percent of new cost with a warranty. Used units, tested and serviceable, suit older machines or a short-term need.

Send the machine make, model and serial number with a photograph of the pump data plate. Where the plate has been painted over or worn away, photographs of the pump and its mounting are usually enough.

Send your pump enquiry on WhatsApp. We confirm the exact unit before quoting, so what arrives is what fits.
