Earthmoving Engines for Mining and Construction Machines

An engine failure is the most expensive stoppage on any site, and the cost is rarely in the parts. It is in the machine standing in the corner of the yard while the job falls behind. We supply earthmoving engines for excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, ADTs, mining trucks and TLBs.

Engine Brands and Series

Caterpillar — 3054, 3116, 3126, 3304, 3306, 3406, 3408, 3412; C4.4, C6.6, C7, C9, C13, C15, C18, C27, C32

Komatsu — S6D102, S6D107, S6D114, S6D125, S6D140; SAA6D114, SAA6D125, SAA6D170

Complete Engine, Block or Rebuild Kit

A complete engine gets the machine working fastest and puts one supplier and one warranty behind the job. Where the injection equipment and ancillaries are still good, a short or long block does the same work for less. And where the block and crank are sound and you have a competent technician, a rebuild kit is the economical route.

Which one makes sense usually comes down to hours on the machine and how long you plan to keep it. We will tell you which way we would go.

Blue smoke means oil is reaching the combustion chamber, past the rings and liners or down the valve guides, and it comes with rising oil consumption between services.

White smoke that clears once warm is nothing. White smoke that does not clear is coolant, which means a head gasket, a cracked head or a failed liner seal.

Black smoke is fuel or air — blocked filter, tired injectors, a turbo not doing its job — and it nearly always comes with lost power.

The machine make, model and serial number, plus the engine serial from the block data plate. A photograph of that plate is ideal. We confirm the correct engine before quoting.
